Near and Farsightedness

At Central Utah Eye, we treat both nearsightedness (myopia) and farsightedness (hyperopia). Myopia, caused by an elongated eyeball, makes distant objects appear blurry, while hyperopia, resulting from a shorter eyeball, affects near vision. Both conditions can be managed with corrective lenses such as glasses or contact lenses. Regular eye exams are essential, especially for children, to ensure their prescriptions are updated and their vision remains clear.
